Up at 5am today to discover that we had been locked into our Hotel. Fortunately I managed to wake the guard and then flag down a Tuk-Tuk to get to the train station for an 6am express to Delhi. We'd had to go in Seat Class, which amazingly wasn't that bad (!) and the train even ran almost on time!
We arrived at New Delhi station to chaos and the usual attempts to fleece the tourist, with a tax driver wanting more for the journey to our hotel than our train tickets had cost (i was almost rolling on the floor laughing)
After eventually finding a more sensible man we were taken to the Hotel Eurostar, which was fairly nice. We popped to a nearby Chinese for tea, before spending an evening watching movies in our room.

We checked out around 12pm and after nipping out for breakfast we spent a few hours using the hotels internet before a taxi to the airport.
The airport itself was actually quite nice, despite the best attempts of the staff to wind us up (firstly "forgetting" to check my huge rucksack in and then refusing to take a note worth 11 pence - which I threw at the offending staff member!!!)
The flight itself went quickly, and we arrived in Goa around 9pm, stepping out of the airplane and into an oven, it was 28 degrees C!!! After collecting our bags we quickly arranged a taxi to Panjim (our first destination) and managed to find a bed at the second time of asking! Bags were dropped, the resident cockroach killed and sleep ensued!
