Cape to Cairo & Beyond with John & Marina

"There is something about Africa that inspires us to travel, an unexplorable urge to explore and learn from a place in which, ultimately, our roots lie". (Anon)

To paraphrase a quote from Mark Twain, in twenty years time we will be more disappointed with the things we did not do, rather than with the things we did.

So, we are going to dust off the gps, get the Beast (landcruiser) sorted, pack the carrier and cameras, and go explore, dream, discover.

What started as a plan for "Cape to Cairo" fairly quickly added "... and Beyond", with stops in Italy, France and finally the UK.

We will be travelling on our own, but look forward to meeting fellow over-landers along the way, and sharing our experiences with you, via our blog. So keep in touch and we hope our adventures will inspire you to do the same.

"If you are not living on the edge - you are taking up too much space." (Anon.)

"A Birth Certificate shows that we were born, a Death Certificate shows that we died .... Pictures show that we lived!" (Anon.)
